Engineered eProcurement platform for a $1B retailer
The client is a large fashion retailer in India with over 350 retail stores and revenues of >$1B.
Redefine procurement through digital platform
Challenge
- The client had disparate procurement systems that was making procurement visibility very difficult. The client decided to use the micro services architecture to build a next generation e-procurement platform
- The new procurement had to be integrated with sophisticated back-end ERP system such that there is near real-time visibility to all procurement, inventory, warehouse, logistics and vendor information
- Need for a partner to collaborate with their in-house team for the complete software development lifecycle by bringing in technology know-how and engineer the platform with faster lead times
Solution
- Trisys partnered with the client to define the KPI’s across the new e-procurement platform and developed a prototype
- Engaged domain experts to define and prioritize business features for development
- Architected a micro & sub micro-services architecture consisting of various modules like vendor management, order management, post-order management etc
- Implemented dashboards such that all KPI’s are available to the procurement team and management based on their access level
